Today I got the moates ostrich 2.0 in the mail, so I set up a quick map to fire the car up. The computer see's it, Crome see's it, but when it comes down to using it the ECU suddenly can't find it.Īny suggestions guys? I've Google'd and hunted but I haven't come up with anything that has helped. So then I thought that maybe the ignition needed to be turned on one click, still nothing. I then thought it was the chip or the socket. It then tells me either:Ī) Timed Out - The device failed to connect 3 times. I open a ROM (or start a new Gold ROM) and click on any of the "Read" "Write" buttons on the RTP toolbar. I even click "Detect Connection" and a pop-up says that it successfully connected to the device. I select "Moates Products," then set the COM port, Baud to 920000 and leave everything else alone. I open Crome (yes, I know) and go to the RTP tab in settings. I plug the USB into my laptop, it recognizes the device and it says it's working properly, no issues. I've updated drivers, changed COM settings, set latency to 1, etc. Okay, I've tried a few different times trying to get the Ostrich working properly.
